Birch demonstrates high levels of participation in PE through quality lessons and varied clubs.  We have shown a commitment to varied PE through our work on swimming,  on-going staff training, as well as participation in a wide variety of Level 1 (in school) and Level 2 (out of school) events. Last year, this included, cross country, football, tag rugby, dodge-ball, cricket, athletics and orienteering. For the first time, children attended an cheerleading competition and we were able to send a team to compete at a Girls' Football Tournament. This year, Birch has entered 2 teams in level 3 competitions and 4 individuals have qualified for the cross-country finals. Children also enjoyed sports festivals and performing cheerleading routines at local events and Sports Day.
