A very warm welcome and congratulations to Mrs Victoria Dornan who has taken on the role of Secretary of The Parents and Friends Association it's great to have you on the team!

Victoria Dornan - Edie in Reception (Secretary)

Over the previous school year, PAFA has again continued to support Birch Primary in many ways. In addition to the Grand Summer Fete and Summer Raffle, there have been fundraising events throughout the year including sports day teas, film nights, nativity teas, CD Bell orders, Clothes Aid collections, Yellow Moon catalogue cashback, Easy Fundraising cashback, Book People orders, cake sales and donations made directly to the school in response to specific fundraising initiatives.

Through such events PAFA has been able to provide the following for the school:

Pantomime tickets in 2012, contribution to the school football team, rugby tops, playground signs, table top games, outdoor tables and parasols and a fete banner.

The PAFA expenditure/income is detailed in our meeting reports as they happen and can be viewed on request. We would like to encourage more people to be involved in the school fundraising. There is no need to attend the meetings but if you feel you could provide occasional help then do please pass your details to a member of the PAFA committee or to the school office who can pass your details onto the PAFA team.

This organisation is open to all those connected with the school, with all the children's immediate family becoming members automatically.

There is a committee who meet to co-ordinate and plan events to raise funds for the school.

These have included cake sales, barbecues, quiz nights and summer fetes  in previous years and have raised large sums to provide play equipment (e.g the play bus). Outdoor tables and canopies, fun/educational playground signage and other resources for the benefit and use of all pupils at our school.

Birch Primary School PAFA is officially a Registered Charity No. 1040912
