  • School Uniform

It is school policy that we encourage children to wear a uniform to help create a sense of community and pride in the school.

Parents can currently purchase items from three different supplier options (listed below) and/or are welcome to source uniform from other sources such as supermarkets or online, so long as it conforms to the uniform list stated below. You may buy a selection of items from your choice supplier as all the items have been approved by the school or individual items you may find in local supermarkets, but these will obviously not have the school logo embroidered on them (not that this is obligatory).

Option A. "Class Clobber" (a local based company in Elmstead Market)

    https://www.classclobber.co.uk/

This company has been selected as a). They are local, and they state that they can deliver items directly to school.

     b) Each item of uniform can have your child's name (we suggest surname) stitched into the garment you are buying. This is not only a time-saver for parents but also improves the chances of an item getting back to its original owner.

    Option B. 'shopkeepeasy.com'

This supplier offers items of uniform which include ECO uniform options. As an ECO item, the polyester has been made using 100% recycled plastic bottles. This company offers delivery to home for a charge as stated on their website. There is no extra commission charged by the school on this shop's uniform items. The school hopes this will keep the cost to parents as low as possible whilst also offering an ECO version of items where possible. The website address you need is:

    https://www.shopkeepeasy.com/115138

Option C.  'School Trends Direct' :

    https://www.schooltrends.co.uk/

Alternatively, go onto the School Trends website and through the 'Find your school' function.

Our school benefits to the tune of 5% of your total purchase in donations made from School Trends company back to school.

JEWELLERY, EAR PIERCING,MAKE-UP & HAIR GEL

On health and safety grounds, we do not allow children to wear jewellery (this includes retainer devices for earrings) in our school (only small studs allowed and must be removed for PE). If your child wishes to have ears pierced, we recommend ear piercings done right at the beginning of the summer holidays so that ears have time to heal and earrings are able to be removed for P.E (independently by the child) from September return to school. A child may not take part in P.E with earrings in place. Thank you.

Make-up and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform. The school does not permit such products to be worn by any children, unless there is a specific event for which the Head has given permission. Hair gel is not permitted in school please.

    SECOND HAND UNIFORM

Parents are encouraged to donate any clean, good-quality second-hand uniform back to school. Currently, our Parents and Friends Association have volunteers who wash and sort the donations. This is a new offer from the school and is evolving. The PAFA make the donated uniform available at key dates, social afternoons and some events. Parents or potential parents are welcome to ask to view the donated uniform at anytime via the school office.
