Class 2

Welcome to Class 2!

 

 

Class 2 has a mix of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. For phonics work, the children join an age and stage appropriate group. These groups are assessed and changed each half-term, where necessary. For Maths and spellings the year one children are taught as a separate group, joined with the year one children from class one, specifically on the year one curriculum. For Maths and spellings, the year two children are taught as one group specifically on the year two curriculum. The class teacher is Mrs Millbourne and the teaching assistant is Mrs Hickman. On Fridays they are taught by Mrs Hickman in the morning and Mrs Clarke in the afternoon.

PSHE resources for Summer Term 2

Useful websites:
  • Spelling games Click on the year group for the spellings you are currently learning, choose a rule and then play some games.
  • Maths games Select your year group and then choose an area of maths and objective.
  • Oxford Owl Free online books. Ask your parent to create a free log in and then you can choose a book based on your age or the coloured book box you are on.
  • Daily 10 - Mental Maths Choose a level, area of maths and activity. You can set a timer if you want. Write down your answers and then check with the answers at the end.
